Kasim Kasuri is CEO of Beaconhouse School System, an institution that educates over 360,000 students in school networks across Pakistan, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. He founded TNS Beaconhouse in 2007, a school promoting project-based, experiential learning and International Baccalaureate education. He chairs School of Tomorrow (SOT), an event series that aims to explore the future of humanity. With an enduring commitment to promoting emerging artists, and the desire to reimagine the hospitality industry in Pakistan, he established Ambiance in 2020, a network of boutique art hotels and resorts. Mr Kasuri’s contributions have earned him global recognition, including ‘Young Global Leader’ at the World Economic Forum from 2009 to 2015.
Ali Ahmad Khan is the Chief Operating Officer at Beaconhouse, with an impressive track record spanning nearly 30 years in the areas of sales, marketing, service, product development, and project management within the telecom, technology, and education sectors. Driven by an unwavering enthusiasm for leveraging technology to reshape business processes and improve the delivery of education, Khan has effectively harnessed innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and user experiences. He is committed to fostering an environment where young minds are nurtured into responsible, analytical, and forward-thinking citizens. Khan's multifaceted skill set encompasses strategic planning, operational excellence, business development, and technology leadership. He is a catalyst for change, adept at implementing transformative initiatives and building robust systems that drive progress within the organisation. With a keen focus on collaboration and communication, he excels at building high-performing teams and fostering an innovative spirit among his colleagues.
Mrs. Fareeha Ahmad holds an MEd in Leadership and Management in Education. She has around 30-years experience in teaching, training and Curriculum Design and Evaluation. She is an accredited teacher trainer and has been instrumental in assisting schools to set strategic direction as well as providing them support to promote self‐evaluation to sustain school improvement. Currently she is working as Director Education Development at the Beaconhouse Head Office Lahore.
Thomas R. Guskey, PhD, is Professor Emeritus in the College of Education at the University of Kentucky where he served as Department Chair, Head of the Educational Psychology Area Committee, and President of the Faculty Council. He has been a Visiting Professor at ten other universities in the U.S. and a Visiting Scholar at universities in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. He began his career in education as a middle school teacher and earned his doctorate in educational measurement and evaluation at the University of Chicago. He served as an administrator in Chicago Public Schools before becoming the first director of the Center for the Improvement of Teaching and Learning, a national research center.
Dr. Guskey is the author/editor of 30 award-winning books and more than 300 book chapters, articles, and professional papers. He was named a Fellow in the American Educational Research Association, the Association’s highest honor, and received the Association’s prestigious Relating Research to Practice Award. He has also received the Distinguished Contributions to the Field Award from Learning Forward, the Jason Millman Award from the Consortium for Research on Educational Assessment and Teaching Effectiveness, and the Distinguished Achievement Award from the Association of Educational Publishers. Perhaps most unique, in the 158-year history of his undergraduate institution, Thiel College, he is one of only three graduates to receive the Outstanding Alumnus Award and be inducted into the Thiel College Athletic Hall of Fame.
His current work involves developing the evaluation model for the Compassionate Coaches Program, a special program designed by the Army of Survivors, an organization advocating for and supporting athlete survivors of sexual abuse, and helping school leaders engage parents and families in meaningful grading reforms. His most recent books include Grading with Integrity (2024), Engaging Parents and Families in Grading Reforms (2024), and Implementing Mastery Learning (2023). Scherezade Tarar is a distinguished professional in the field of education, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Professional Development & Research at Beaconhouse School System. With a rich career spanning over a decade, she has held several key positions in the organization.
Scherezade's expertise in educational leadership and policy is grounded in her diverse academic background, which includes an MSc in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford, an MS in Teaching & Curriculum from Syracuse University, and an MS in Accounting & Finance from Kinnaird College for Women. A Fulbright Scholar and Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholar, her work focuses on enhancing educational practices and policies. She has contributed significantly to school improvement initiatives and professional development. Scherezade co-authored a book on Pakistan's educational landscape and is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Social Sciences. Her commitment to education is further evidenced by her participation in global seminars and conferences and certifications from renowned institutions like Harvard University and Cambridge International Examinations.
With over fifteen years of international and local experience in management and leadership roles, in the education and child care sectors, Kanwal is a specialist in early year childhood learning through design and implementation of Reggio Emilia and project based learning (PBL) methodology. Kanwal excels in training, coaching and galvanizing teams to deliver highest learning experience to students through planning, orchestrating and facilitating interdisciplinary projects ranging from early to primary years concentrating on 21st century skills and student inquiry.
Ayesha Kasuri is a career educationist with a demonstrated history in experiential education, research, management, coaching, leadership, and team building spanning the US and Pakistan. She has played a key role in developing TNS Beaconhouse, Beaconhouse-Newlands, and Leo's Workshop in Pakistan and the Reggio's Treehouse brand in the US. Her professional expertise focuses on alternate education models; PBL, Montessori and Reggio Emilia and she believes a critical part of learning for all is 'play'. Kasuri is also a trained IB professional, across the continuum. She serves on the board of Governors for TNS Beaconhouse and has been a member of the Chief Minister of Punjab's special Ed Committee.
Ms. Iram Naqvi possesses a strong academic foundation in Counseling, Psychology, and Neuroscience of Mental health. Her expertise aligns well with both in-person and online therapy, staying updated with industry advancements, and using evidence-based strategies. She also has extensive experience in the education sector, holding senior roles in student guidance, counselling, and management in schools, universities, and corporate settings. Notably, she has initiated the Wellbeing Programme at Beaconhouse School Systems for the emotional and psychological support for students, offering training for counsellors and teachers, conducting parent awareness sessions, and overseeing overall programme implementation. Her combination of academic insight and practical experience uniquely equips her to address academic environment challenges.
Mrs Saira Mubashir Butt has worked in the field of Education for over 20 years. Her work has involved teaching children as well as teachers and has on numerous occasions been involved with reviewing and designing the Curriculum for young children for Beaconhouse as well as for the Pakistan Government. She has conducted several research projects including ‘Play as a Vehicle for Learning’, ‘Learning through Story’, ‘Portfolio Assessment in the Early Years’, ‘Education Technology in Early Years Settings’, ‘Project Based Learning’ all involving close cooperation with teachers and children in schools across Pakistan. She has visited and observed work at the famous schools of Reggio Emilia, as well as the work of the Alternative Education Movement in the USA. Saira currently teaches, supervises and mentors new and experienced teachers for the Beaconhouse School System.
